I made this colors book for my little guy to start learning his colors. And the best part was it did not cost me a thing. I used Micky Mouse paint samples from the home improvement store and I already had the metal ring and the ribbons were from my scrapbook stash.

That is adorable! I LOVE free! I am going to have to make one for my little man. Thanks for the cute idea :)!
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeleteAdorable!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea!!!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I had no idea they even had paint samples liek this!! I love it!! I might just have to make one for my two year old.
ReplyDeleteOH I LOVE this, I am headed to the home depot today to see if they have those samples there! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteGenius! My son needs this so much! It was part of his IEP goal for the year to be able to identify his colors, and we haven't gotten there and time is running out. Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteI have a set that I have been saving! Now I know what to do with them!
ReplyDeleteAnd if you get two sets, you can use them as a memory matching game. And for older preschoolers (4-5 yr olds) you can have them match the color tile with a word card that has the color name. To start off, write the color name in the actual color..then, progress to all the names written in black so you know they are recognizing the actual word
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!! I have those for my classroom and picked up 2 sets and we play memory with Mickey Mouse colors.
ReplyDeleteVery cute idea! Thank you!

I did this, but as a memory game. My kids loved the Mouse heads. The super nice thing is, when they loved them to death, I could easily replace them.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I am SO making this for my son! He is ready to learn his colors too. Thank you for such an awesome, inexpensive idea!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea! I just featured it on my blog www.auntielolocrafts.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThanks!

I so just go and take some of those bigger paint samples that are cards for my daughter to hold in walmart while I shop she learns her colors and if one gets lost I don't care : )
ReplyDeleteSo cute and so simple! I wish they had those paint samples in Australia! I suppose I could cut them out of normal paint chips.

So if I go to Home Depot they would just give me samples for free?

ReplyDeleteI wish Home Depot still carried these. Sadly they are all gone. :(
